Nadia Dombrowski is the Executive Vice President, Chief Legal and Administrative Officer of Pathward®, N.A. and Pathward Financial, Inc. In her role, she leads Pathward’s Legal, Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC), and People and Culture departments. She also oversees the company’s Code Officer, who is responsible for compliance with and adherence to the Code of Business Conduct.
Before joining Pathward, Dombrowski was the Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Safrapay, Inc. Prior to Safrapay, she was the Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for Community Federal Savings Bank, where she also led the Compliance team. Dombrowski has held executive and senior leadership roles in legal, risk, compliance, and operations throughout her career, including at MasterCard Worldwide, where she was SVP, Lead Region Counsel for the U.S. Region; Bank of America, where she was SVP, Associate General Counsel of the Retail Bank & Operations; GE Capital; and several start-up companies. In addition, Dombrowski was a partner at Davis Wright Tremaine LLP in the Financial Services and Payments practice group.
Pathward Financial is the U.S.-based holding company of Pathward, a financial services company looking to power financial inclusion for all by increasing financial availability, choice, and opportunity across its two core business lines, Banking as a Service and Commercial Finance.
Education:
Dombrowski received her Juris Doctor from Columbia University School of Law, where she was a member of the Human Rights Law Review. Prior to earning her Juris Doctor, Dombrowski studied in France for two years as a Fulbright Scholar at L’Université Louis Pasteur de Strasbourg and as a Rotary International Scholar at L’Université Francois Rabelais de Tours. Dombrowski graduated summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa from Dartmouth College with an A.B. in Russian Language and Literature and French Language and Literature, during which time she also studied at the University of Leningrad.

As a recognized thought leader, Dombrowski has spoken at top industry events nationwide, including the American Conference Institute’s 2023 National Forum on Prepaid Accounts Compliance; Corporate Counsel Leadership Forum; Women, Influence & Power in Law Conference; and the ACI Women Leaders in Financial Services, Law and Compliance conference, among others. Dombrowski has been featured in publications such as Bloomberg Law and Reuters.
As a member of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity, Dombrowski signed the Leader’s Pledge to demonstrate her personal and professional commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. She has also been recognized by InsideCounsel as a recipient of the 2016 Transformative Leadership Visionary Leaders Award for Compliance; the 2013 and 2015 R-3 100 Next Generation of General Counsel Awards; and the 2011 Pamela L. Carter Transformative Leadership Award. In 2020, she earned the Corporate
Counsel Award from the OnCon Icon Awards. During her tenure at MasterCard, she was awarded the MasterCard 2011 CFO Award and the MasterCard 2010 General Counsel’s Award of Distinction. Dombrowski has served on the SuperConference Advisory Board and the WIPL Advisory Board, and is a member of the American Corporate Counsel Association and the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity.
